Sponsored by the Department of English Modern Foreign Languages, Japan Foundation NY, Asian Culture Center of TN, and the Japan Outreach Initiative Program. Come enjoy a variety of performances, activities, and food from Japan, including:

• Shamisen (Japanese traditional instrument) performance
• Mochi (rice cake) making demonstration & tasting
• Calligraphy demonstration
• Shotokan Karate Kata (form) performance
• Free California rolls, Japanese candies, and more!

There will be a donation box for the earthquake which occurred on January 1 in Japan. We would appreciate it if you bring some cash to support the people who are suffering as a result of this natural disaster. The door opens at 5:00pm at UTM on March 11. The various performances on stage begin around 5:30pm. There will be various tables where everyone enjoys cultural activities after the performance. On March 12, the festival continues with Shamisen performance and Sushi making workshop from 11am at Martin Public Library.
