1. JFNY Grant for Arts & Culture
This program provides support to non-profit organizations in the U.S. that organize projects that will further the understanding of Japanese arts and culture within the 37 states east of the Rocky Mountains, plus Washington D.C.
Successful projects generally take the form of performances, exhibitions, film screenings, and workshops. This grant also supports online projects related to Arts & Cultural Exchange that incorporate issues pertaining to the COVID-19 global pandemic such as virtual exhibitions, virtual performances, film streaming, online conference as well as webinar. Priority will be given to those projects that have secured additional funding from sources other than the Japan Foundation, as well as projects that take place in areas where access to Japanese cultural events are relatively limited.

2. Exhibitions Abroad Support Program
This annual program is designed to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations in the U.S. that organize exhibitions introducing Japanese arts and culture. International exhibitions such as biennials and triennials introducing Japanese artists and their works are also eligible.

3. Ishibashi Foundation / The Japan Foundation Fellowship for Research on Japanese Art
This program aims to support the development of professionals specializing in the study of Japanese art by providing an opportunity for curators and researchers from abroad to conduct research in Japan, and by so doing, promote the study of the field and the introduction of Japanese art overseas.

4. Support Program for Translation and Publication
This program provides support for foreign publishers to translate and/or publish Japanese works to promote Japanese Studies and a better understanding of Japan. This program encourages the publication of books that are difficult to publish commercially.

5. Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) Program
After the grants of the 2021-2022 fiscal year have been awarded, we will be discontinuing this grant program.
This is designed to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations in the U.S. and Canada that aim to introduce Japanese performing arts to local audiences.
