Outline | The goal of this project is to strengthen course offerings in Japanese literature and culture. The central component of this grant is the addition of a new faculty position in modern Japanese literature. The new faculty member will offer courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as modern Japanese literature, culture, and film. Furthermore, this project aims to develop new elective courses in Japanese Studies and to reestablish the M.A. program in Japanese Studies.
