Outline This grant supports the establishment of a concentration in Japanese Studies as part of the university’s bachelor’s degree program in East Asian Studies. The central component to this grant is the addition of three new tenure-track faculty positions that will contribute to the creation of an interdisciplinary degree program. The grant will also support study abroad programs for ten students annually, the addition of Japanese Studies resources to the library, and the invitation of visiting speakers.
