| Outline | This grant helps support an educational pipeline for students in Michigan and Shiga prefecture with a focus on Japan’s culture and environment. This will be accomplished though a visiting scholar program, in which the Japanese scholar will teach a university course and also mentor local high school students. Support will also be given toward study abroad and intern opportunities for students in the Environmental Science in Japan (ESJ) program at JCMU/Hikone.
