OutlineThis grant supports a collaborative policy research program between the East-West Center in Washington and the Osaka School of International Public Policy. The program will connect scholars from the U.S., Southeast Asia, and Japan in order to assess Japan and the U.S.-Japan alliance’s role in Southeast Asia. This project includes a trilateral visiting fellows exchange in Washington and Osaka, fellowship study trips to Japan, policy briefings and site visits, creation of a fellowship alumni network, research publications, and a conference in Southeast Asia.
