This project consists of a public lecture tour in Northern California to enhance awareness of autism in general and to highlight the school’s holistic educational practice called, “Daily Life Therapy” which originated in Japan. Also included in the discussion will be the cost benefit of this particular methodology in the context of public funding.

U.S. Japan Cooperation on Clean Energy and China
Project Director: Richard C. Bush, Director, Center for Northwast Asian Policy Studies
This project seeks to review the progress oat the December 2009 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and looking ahead to identify possibe areas of cooperation between the United States and Japan in order to engage China more fully in climate change initiatives, including expanding clean energy markets.

This project seeks to provide outreach and networking opportunities to member societies through the creation of a mini-lecture series. This particular series included interdisciplinary panels of experts drawn from the local universities as well as Japanese expertise from Washington, D.C.  Specifically addressed was the impact of the recent political change in Japan from political, economic, and social perspectives.

This project seeks to bring together international scholars Japan, India and the U.S. to explore advances and discoveries made in the social sciences in the field of disaster resilience, post-crisis rehabilitation, and rebuilding.
