To support a 3-day online Japanese Cultural Summit for LSE staff and students from underrepresented backgrounds within the Columbus, Ohio region to learn more about Japan, with the goal of encouraging these youth to pursue a globalized education. Students will hear from qualified speakers about fun cultural topics as well as practical ones, such as how to prepare for a trip to Japan.

Hot Springs Cherry Blossom Festival Journey through Japan

To support Hot Springs Cheery Blossom Festival that entails a walk-through of displays of four seasons in Japan, taiko and bon odori performances, interactive exhibitions such as origami and haiku composition, and an exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake to introduce Japanese culture to the residents of Arkansas and visitors to Hot Springs and to share enduring optimism and resilience of the Japanese culture as the arrival of Spring is celebrated, and so is the metaphor for emerging from the COVID19 pandemic.
