Showcasing Shinichi Sawada‘s inventive and imaginative ceramic works, Shinichi Sawada: Agents of Clay presents a selection of the artist’s alluring creatures made in a centuries-old Japanese tradition of wood fired kilns.

On January 23, 2025, join CAM Executive Director and exhibition co-curator Lisa Melandri and independent curator, writer, and arts administrator of contemporary art, Angelik Vizcarrondo-Laboy for a discussion of Sawada’s practice, the works on view, and topics explored in the exhibition publication.
