Japan-North Korea Relations

Time and Location

September 28, 6am ET (September 28, 7pm JST)

Live in Japan long enough and you’ll see plenty of news articles about North Korea’s missile testing. Perhaps you even heard the emergency alert system earlier this year. How worried should we be about this unruly neighbor country? What does the political relationship, or lack thereof, look like between Japan and North Korea, and what implications does the North Korean threat have on Japan? Dr. Ryo Hinata-Yamaguchi, an expert in Indo-Pacific security issues and North Korean military affairs, will share his research. His presentation will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.

Questions are encouraged during the live event. Register here Meeting Registration – Zoom
