In this behind-the-scenes talk, Kore Yamazaki, the author of the “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” series, and her editor, Kyohei Shimpuku, walked us through the origins and inspirations for the story. This is a rare opportunity to see the doujinshi (self-published manga) version and sketches of “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” before being published!
They also covered how a manga editor discovers new talent, how manga artists and editors collaborate and how the initial idea was cultivated and then developed to become the worldwide anime hit we have today.
