Wa-Sho Seeds Partnership Program: Recruiting Partner Instructors

Table For Two is excited to announce that they are now recruiting partner instructors for their “Wa-Sho Seeds” program in 2026, which brings their hands-on food education and cooking curriculum, “Wa-Sho — Learn. Cook. Eat Japanese!” to more communities across the United States. Their teaching materials, lesson plans, and recipes (“seeds”) have consistently received enthusiastic responses from students of all ages nationwide. As a partner instructor, you will help “grow” Wa-Sho programs within your own community.

Who can apply:
This program is open to individuals aged 18 or older who are:

  • Teaching Japanese language
  • Promoting Japanese culture or food education in schools
  • Working with local community organizations or non-profits

Examples include Japanese language teachers, cultural exchange coordinators, nutrition educators, and college club members.

Table For Two is seeking 20+ partner instructors for collaboration from January through December 2026. Selected instructors will receive free teaching materials and access to an online training course.

Wa-Sho Seeds by Table For Two has previously been supported through the 2023 Salary Assistance Grant, now the US-Japan Community Grassroots Exchange Program.
