Brooklyn meets Japan on Saturday, July 18 when AniTOMO returns to Japan Village to celebrate a culmination of friendship & culture.

Now entering its fourth year, AniTOMO Convention brings together thousands of attendees from across the tri-state area for a free community event that bridges self-expression and cultural immersion—blending all the attractions worth checking out at Japan Village with unique programming produced by AniTOMO!

Attendees are encouraged to participate in the “On the Hour, Every Hour” initiative, where every attendee has a chance to walk away with something special. This year’s convention is hosted by cosplay influencers Stalli and Brolicpump, who will introduce new panels, performances, and distribute giveaways courtesy of cultural contributors. Professional cosplayers will lead anime anniversary meet-ups; gamers will have an opportunity to participate in tournaments at JTunes Karaoke Lounge; and DJ Aux spins popular anime songs and the biggest chart-topping music in the courtyard.

Hands-on workshops include Anime Voice Dubbing led by Khem Fest, Martial Arts with NY Budo Association, Wotegai dance with light sticks led by Wota Sans Frontieres, and beginner language classes led by Ichigo Academy. Artist Atelier will showcase 100 local artists and illustrators – including Rica Takashima, Helen Miisoey, Midnight Crafters – with original art, handmade creations, and character commissions. NYC-based Oishii Berries will be onsite with luxury strawberries—a refreshing summer treat!
