About

Every summer, Hinoki Foundation sponsors a weekend camping trip where children and their families gather for fellowship, language learning, and cultural sharing. Japanese-themed activities include folk dancing, kamishibai (illustrated storytelling), and suika-wari (watermelon splitting). Also featured are bilingual balloon tosses, volleyball, swimming, fishing, ghost stories, campfires, and s’mores!

Hinoki Camp is an exciting way for children to develop bilingual and bicultural skills in a supportive environment. Please join families from America and Japan as they share outdoor traditions and cross-cultural camp cuisine!
