About

How does a manga grow from a rough storyboard into a finished work read by millions around the world?

Recorded at Anime NYC 2026, this special conversation features manga editor Shihei Lin, known for his work on several internationally popular manga series, including Spy x Family, Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, and Black Torch.

In this panel, Lin shares behind-the-scenes insights into how Spy x Family, Chainsaw Man, and Dandadan were developed through the editor-creator relationship. The panel also offers a rare chance to see names/storyboards, rough sketches, inking, and finished pages from these three hit series, while Lin explains how weekly manga chapters come together and what role the editor plays along the way.
