THERMAE ROMAE (2012)

A time-slip comedy exploring the bathing world between ancient Rome and modern Japan, transcending space and time with this fantastic and epic adventure.

Based on YAMAZAKI Mari’s world-renowned blockbuster manga, winner of both the Manga Taishō 2010 and the 14th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Short Story Award, Lucius (ABE Hiroshi) is a bath architect from ancient Rome who keeps slipping between the baths of ancient Rome and modern Japan, uniquely brought to life through the contrast in cultures, groundbreaking ideas, and unexpected discoveries. His wit and humor also reveal the origins of Japanese and ancient Roman bathing. Witness this epic, fantastical comedy, hilariously funny and deeply touching.

Let’s Go Karaoke! (2024)

As his school’s choir club leader, 14-year-old Satomi (SAITO Jun) has only one thing on his mind – the upcoming final competition before he graduates middle school. However, his routine is disrupted when he’s approached by Kyoji (AYANO Go), a menacing yakuza with an unusual request: “Let’s go karaoke!” Baffled and cautious, Satomi soon discovers the off-key gangster needs singing lessons to avoid losing his gang’s karaoke contest and a harrowing punishment… a bad tattoo selected by the boss himself! Reluctantly, Satomi agrees to help Kyoji through a series of karaoke sessions, and the duo forge an unexpected friendship. Featuring comedic twists, heartwarming moments and of course, a stellar soundtrack, this adaptation brings WAYAMA Yama’s beloved manga series to life!

HIRAO Masashi is the last apprentice of bonsai master KATO Saburo, the first man to introduce the beauty of bonsai to the world. After his master passes away, HIRAO, feeling constrained by the conservative culture of the local bonsai business, decides to embark on a journey overseas to showcase his speedy, stylish bonsai performances. BONSAI WARRIOR follows HIRAO over four months and across 11 countries, capturing his encounters along the way and the challenges he faces back in Japan.

Then one day Yuki meets Ken, an academically gifted schoolboy who doesn’t like school. The two soon become inseparable and as his family prepare to move on Yuki hopes his new friend might one day see him on stage as an actor.
