For the first time ever, acclaimed yokai experts came together from around the world to Anime NYC 2024! Hiroko Yoda and Matt Alt (authors of Yokai Attack! The Japanese Monster Survival Guide and Yurei Attack! The Japanese Ghost Survival Guide) joined Zack Davisson (author of The Ultimate Guide to Japanese Yokai and Kaibyo: The Supernatural Cats of Japan.) Monster-ator Deb Aoki led a discussion about the cultural, spiritual, and pop-cultural roots of Japan’s spooky side. Fans of yokai packed Panel Room 2 for this spirited all-star talk!
