To support the filmmaker, editor, curriculum developers, and website developer create 4 educational modules based on the documentary film “Edo Avant Garde.” The educational modules will provide a wide context for understanding Edo-era art, including buddhist/shinto teachings, and will trace Edo-era art’s influences to modern pop culture and contemporary art today.

Walking the Tokaido: A Multi-Disciplinary Experience

To support curriculum development of an immersive Japanese culture and history lesson for K-12, using a fitness app (MyVirtualMussion) that tracks personal miles to then “walk” the equivalent miles along the Tokaido road, with multi-disciplinary lessons along the way. Educators across the US will be able to teach about Japan in a fun and interactive way through many subjects in their classrooms and in many grade levels, at no cost.
