The Japan Business Society of Detroit will host a Japanese New Year’s event to promote an awareness of Japanese language and culture to the local community in Novi, MI. There will be activities including kakizome (the first calligraphy of the year), kimono showings, origami, Japanese calligraphy performance by Kyoko Fujii and English rakugo by Eiji Hamaoka. All are welcome to attend this event to learn and experience a different culture of New Year’s tradition.
